Day 12 (Day 5 of no meat): 21 Day Cleanse

I only have one more day of being Vegan to go!  I can't believe I did this.  I sure am ready to eat some meat though.  The cravings for "bad" food are increasing and I'm salivating over my first meal when I am off this cleanse.  That will be in 9 short days!  I can't do it!

Today my energy seemed to be a little less than the previous few days, but was it because I wasn't running around with my head cut off or am I just tired?  I think it's a combo of both.  I actually took a little cat nap on the couch this afternoon and it felt delightful.    Otherwise, I really am feeling good!

Here is what I ate today:

Breakfast:  1 scoop OptiCleanse GHI vanilla protein powder with 1 scoop OrganiX Phytofood.  (I forgot the rest of my breakfast as I headed out the door).

Lunch:  Black bean and sweet potato "burgers" with lettuce wraps and 1/2 serving of the quinoa pasta salad.  Protein shake w/ 1/2 cup coconut milk and 1 scoop OptiCleanse GHI vanilla protein powder.

Afternoon snack:  1 cup black beans with steamed spinach, mushrooms and garlic.

Another snack:  3 celery stalks with an organic hummus snack pack.

Dinner:  Lentil, sweet potato and spinach soup

Before bed:  Protein shake (1 scoop OptiCleanse GHI vanilla protein powder mixed with water).

Total Calories:  1394 (Carbs 53%, Protein 25% (93g), Fat 22%).  Not too shabby!  Seems to be the trend during this vegan week.  My macros will be back on track Sunday through the finish of this cleanse.

That's the update from here.  Happy TGIF!
