Is it telling me something when my dreams last night consisted of dreaming about food and the fact that I started to eat tasty little morsels, such as, donuts and pizza, and then I instantly spit it out when I remembered I was on this cleanse? Oh my...is this over yet? At least I'm in the single digits of days now....I CAN DO IT!
Here's what I ate today:
Breakfast: Protein shake (1 scoop OptiCleanse GHI vanilla protein powder mixed with water). 1 cup organic brown rice puff cereal with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk.
Lunch: Sweet potato and black bean "burger" lettuce wraps.
Snacks: Protein shake (1 scoop OptiCleanse GHI vanilla protein powder mixed with water). 1/2 serving of quinoa pasta. 1 peach.
Dinner: Salad with veggies and a tri-bean blend with 1 tbsp of Bragg's Healthy Vinaigrette.
After dinner snack: 1 brown rice cake w/ 1 tbsp almond butter with a drizzle of honey and 3 small kiwi's. Protein shake (1 scoop OptiCleanse GHI vanilla protein powder mixed with water).
Total calories: 1420 (Carbs 55%, Protein 20%-74g, Fats 25%). I made a decision today to re-evaluate my caloric intake AFTER this cleanse. I'm going to be increasing it and focusing more on losing fat. Not that I'm fat or anything, but I do have some body fat to lose so that is where my goals will be headed. Meanwhile I get to eat tomorrow and I'm going to increase my calories a bit and try to decrease the carbs and eat more protein!! I can't wait to eat meat!!!! I think my stint as a vegan is over for my lifetime...hey, at least I gave it a whirl!!
