Day 6: 21 Day Cleanse

Good evening!  Today's been a good day...very busy.  I started off the day with a cup of joe...decaf of course.  My oh my did it taste delicious!  I was then off to a pretty intense workout.  It felt great and a good way to start my day.  Beginning today I am house/dog sitting so I have already resisted more temptations.  "There are some homemade enchiladas in the fridge that will go bad by the time we get back, so please eat them."  Ugh--I can't!  But they look so good.  There's also lots of other stuff in the fridge I can't eat, such as, EGGS, cheese, ranch, bread, and the list goes on.  I will not eat it though!!  Tomorrow I'm going to my house to meal prep so I remain on track for my no meat week!

Here's what I ate today:

Breakfast:  1 scoop OptiCleanse GHI vanilla protein powder mixed with water.  1 cup organic brown rice puff cereal with 1 cup coconut milk.

After workout/early lunch:  2.4 oz grilled chicken tenders, 1/2 chicken patty and 2 small beets.

Snack:  1 organic gala apple with 1 tbsp almond butter.

Late lunch:  Poki bowl--this may have had some soy in it, but whatever I ate was pretty slim.  I modified it to fit the cleanse it was SO good.  (Brown rice, organic greens, ahi tuna, salmon, jicama, cucumber, seaweed and ginger).

Dinner:  Chicken patty (plain) with cucumbers and radish

Late night snack:  1 scoop OptiCleanse GHI vanilla protein powder mixed with water.

Total Calories:  1327 (41% Carbs, 23% Fat, 36% Protein).  This may not be 100% accurate as I didn't add some of the stuff that was on my poki bowl, but I ate clean all day and to me, that's what counts!

Tomorrow is the last day to eat meat for a few days.  I hope I can maintain the calories I want to consume, which by the way I am trying to eat only 1300 calories per day with a 40/40/20 split of Carbs/Protein/Fat.  It's going to be hard to not eat that many carbs with no meat!  If I go over, I won't be too worried because it's all veggies and beans and minimal fat.  I'll see how the week goes!
